Louise Lodge - Background
Louise was born in the small northern wheatbelt town of Morawa, Western Australia and grew up surrounded by an environmant of rich red earth, blue hills and the brilliant colours of spring wildflowers. As a teenager Louise lived at Mandurah, Western Australia close to the ocean, estuary, wetlands and bushland.
Louise was educated in Perth Western Australia and studied art at James Street Technical School and Curtin University of Technology. She returned to the country as a young mother and lived at Ravensthorpe and Esperance on the south coast of Western Australia for seven years. This is where her unique expression of the southern wilderness started.
